Terms of Use

Conditions of access and use of the website and medical-content disclaimer

1. General information

This website, clinicachirurgiaplastica.it (the "Site"), is owned and operated by Clinica Chirurgia Plastica – Dott. Marco Galati, Via Gabriele D'Annunzio 136, 73020 Scorrano (LE), Italy (the "Owner"). By accessing and browsing the Site, the user accepts these Terms of Use in full. Users who do not agree with these terms are asked not to use the Site.

For any question regarding these terms, you can contact the Owner at info@clinicachirurgiaplastica.it.

2. Purpose of the Site and medical disclaimer

The content of the Site — texts, descriptions of procedures, images, frequently asked questions and any other material — is published for general information purposes only. It is intended to illustrate the activity of the practice and to provide an initial orientation on the treatments of plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery and aesthetic medicine.

In particular, the user acknowledges that:

  • the information on the Site does not constitute medical advice and cannot in any way replace a specialist examination, a diagnosis or a personalised treatment plan drawn up by a qualified physician;
  • browsing the Site, sending a contact request or booking a consultation does not establish a doctor-patient relationship, which arises only within a proper clinical examination;
  • the results of medical and surgical procedures vary from patient to patient: the descriptions, timescales and outcomes presented on the Site are indicative and cannot be understood as a promise or guarantee of a specific result;
  • any decision regarding treatments must be taken together with the physician, after an adequate consultation, complete information on benefits, risks and alternatives, and the signing of informed consent;
  • in case of urgency or health problems, the user must contact their doctor or the emergency services, and must never disregard professional medical advice because of something read on this Site.

3. Intellectual property

All content on the Site — including texts, photographs, illustrations, logos, trade marks, graphic layout and page structure — is the property of the Owner or of its respective rights holders, and is protected by Italian and international regulations on copyright and industrial property (Italian Law no. 633/1941 and subsequent amendments, Italian Industrial Property Code).

Reproduction, distribution, modification, publication or any other use of the content of the Site, in whole or in part, in any form and by any means, is prohibited without the prior written authorisation of the Owner, except for personal, non-commercial consultation and the cases expressly permitted by law. Clinical photographs published on the Site are shown with the consent of the patients concerned and may not be extracted, copied or reused for any purpose.

4. Use of the Site and limitation of liability

The Owner takes care to keep the information published on the Site accurate and up to date, but does not guarantee its completeness, accuracy or timeliness at all times, and reserves the right to modify the content without notice. Within the limits permitted by applicable law, the Owner accepts no liability for:

  • direct or indirect damage arising from the use of the Site or from reliance on its content outside the proper clinical setting;
  • temporary interruptions, malfunctions or unavailability of the Site due to technical reasons or causes beyond the Owner's control;
  • the content of third-party websites accessible via links on the Site (e.g. social networks, map services), over which the Owner has no control and whose terms and privacy policies apply.

The user undertakes to use the Site in a lawful manner, refraining from any conduct that could damage its operation or security, and from any unauthorised access attempt.

5. Personal data and cookies

The processing of personal data collected through the Site (e.g. via the contact form) is described in the Privacy Policy, drawn up pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). Information on the technologies used by the Site is available in the Cookie Policy.

6. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These Terms of Use are governed by Italian law. For any dispute concerning the interpretation, execution or validity of these terms, the competent court shall be that identified in accordance with the applicable provisions of Italian law and, where applicable, of European Union consumer legislation.

7. Changes to these terms

The Owner reserves the right to amend these Terms of Use at any time, including to reflect regulatory changes or changes to the services offered. The updated version will be published on this page and will be effective from its publication. Users are invited to consult this page periodically.
